The theme for this annual event organised by United Nations is “Science For and With Society”

This year the theme is based around the worlds’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

New Horizons Dental (https://newhorizonsdental.com.au/ ) has provided communications with our patients about  our response and followed guidelines provided through the Australian Dental Association in conjunction with National bodies that have acted swiftly to translate the science to clear instructions to maintain health and safety.

To this day we are still acting under COVID-19 guidelines level 1 for dental care. ( ref, previous news blog in May)

We are fortunate in Australia that our community has pulled together so cohesively in difficult circumstances to achieve very low levels of the virus.

A classic example of science informing society of a path forwards and social action achieving positive and peaceful outcomes for our country.
