New Horizons Dental celebrates Dental Health week from the 4th till the 10th of August 2025.
This year we focus on the oral health for children and to celebrate every (S)milestone. Did you know that Child Dental Benefit Scheme provides funding for dental care for children aged 0-17 years who are eligible for Medicare and whose parents/carer/guardian receive an eligible payment from the federal government? At New Horizons Dental (https://newhorizonsdental.com.au/) there is no out of pocket cost for children who are eligible, and the scheme provides up to $1132,- per 2 years towards dental care. As always and for everyone, the key elements of good oral healthcare:
1. Brush twice per day using a fluoride toothpaste
2. Clean in between teeth daily using floss or interdental brushes
3. Eat a nutritious diet, low in sugar
4. See your dentist regularly
